A 44-year-old woman faces a murder charge after police said she allegedly stabbed a man to death with a stiletto heel early Sunday morning at a high-rise condo in the Museum District.
According to homicide investigators with the Houston Police Department, officers responded to a call of an assault in progress just before 4 a.m. at a unit at The Parklane luxury condominium in the 1700 block of Hermann Drive.
When officers arrived at the scene, a woman identified as Ana Lilia Trujillo answered the door and showed police the body of a 59-year-old man, which was found in a hallway between the entryway and the kitchen.
Police said that Trujillo was detained for questioning. She was the only person present when police arrived at the scene and now faces a pending murder charge.
HPD has not released the name of the victim pending the notification of next of kin.
A unit with the University of Houston Police Department was also on the scene. It was not clear what role UH police played in the investigation, if any.
